1. How Much Space Is Between the Bed Rails?

Our beds feature a safe gap of 7 centimeters (2.8 inches) between the rails, allowing your child to get in and out of the bed independently while minimizing the risk of getting stuck.

2. Is the Bed Opening Wide Enough for My Child?

Yes. The bed opening is a spacious 53 centimeters (20.9 inches) wide, making it comfortable for your child to get in and out freely.

3. What Is the Height of the Bed Railing?

The bed railing height depends on the type of bed you choose. For all of our beds except the Toddler High Floor Bed, the railing height is 41 centimeters (16.1 inches). The Toddler High Floor Bed has a railing height of 60 centimeters (23.6 inches).

4. Can I Adjust the Bed Railing Height?

We currently do not offer beds with adjustable railing height. However, if you would like a bed with a higher railing, we can make a custom order. Contact us for details and pricing.

For beds with a standard railing height of 41 centimeters (16.1 inches), we can increase the height by 10 centimeters (3.9 inches). For beds with a railing height of 60 centimeters (23.6 inches), we can increase it by 10 centimeters (3.9 inches) or 20 centimeters (7.9 inches).

5. Can I Choose the Side the Opening Is On?

Absolutely. We can customize the opening position to suit your needs at no additional cost. Just let us know your preference during checkout.

6. What Are the Overall Dimensions of the Bed?

The overall bed dimensions are simply the mattress size plus 4 centimeters (1.6 inches) on each side. This provides a secure and comfortable sleeping area for your child.

No, the mattress is not included.

8. What Type of Mattress and Mattress Height Do You Recommend for My Child’s Bed?

For optimal comfort and safety, we recommend using a children’s mattress with a height of 10 to 15 centimeters (4 to 6 inches).

9. Does the Bed Support Proper Mattress Ventilation?

Yes. Our floor beds feature a built-in 5-centimeter (2-inch) ventilation gap under the mattress base. This allows proper air circulation to help prevent moisture buildup and keep your child’s sleep environment healthier.

10. What Material Are the Beds Made From?

Our beds are made from high-quality, sustainably sourced FSC-certified pine wood. This ensures strength, durability, and a more environmentally responsible choice.

11. What Kind of Finish Do You Use on the Beds?

We prioritize your child’s safety and use only non-toxic, eco-friendly finishes. Our beds are either finished with child-safe Italian water-based paints or left completely untreated, providing a beautiful and safe surface in both options.

12. How Much Weight Can Your Beds Support?

Our Montessori beds are designed to be sturdy and safe for children.

  • An adult and a child: this typically means a maximum weight capacity of around 150 kg (330 lbs).

13. Can I Select the Kids’ Bed in My Preferred Color?

Absolutely. We offer customizable color options, allowing you to choose the color that best suits your preferences. Whether you prefer a vibrant shade or a subtle tone, you can personalize your child’s bed to match your style and décor.

14. Do the Beds Include Mattress Slats?

Yes. All of our beds come with a set of sturdy mattress slats that provide proper support for your child’s mattress.

15. What Cleaning Products Are Safe to Use on Your Furniture?

For everyday cleaning, use only gentle methods to keep your Montessori furniture looking its best.

  • Dusting: Remove dust with a dry, soft cloth such as suede, microfiber, or flannel, or use specially designed dusters.
  • Cleaning dirt: For tougher dirt, clean the surface with lukewarm water and a mild natural soap. Wring out the cloth thoroughly to avoid excess moisture. Then wipe the furniture dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Gentle wipes: You can also use gentle, baby-safe wipes for cleaning.

Avoid harsh chemicals:

  • Never use harsh cleaning agents containing chemicals, solvents, or chlorine.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can scratch the furniture surface.

17. I Am a Customer Outside the European Union (EU). What Should I Keep in Mind Before Placing an Order?

We ship our Montessori furniture worldwide. To help ensure a smooth delivery experience, here are a few things to keep in mind before placing your order:

  • Import duties and taxes: You may be responsible for import duties, taxes, and any other charges required by your country’s customs office. These fees are usually collected by the courier company upon delivery. To estimate possible import costs, we recommend contacting your local customs office before placing your order.
  • Currency exchange: Our prices are listed in Euros (EUR). Your bank may charge a currency conversion fee when processing your international payment.

Please note: The buyer is responsible for all import charges.

18. What Is Your Return Policy?

We accept returns for damaged, faulty, or incorrect items within 30 days of delivery, including custom-made orders. We also accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, unassembled, and in its original packaging.

Please note that return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns are the responsibility of the customer, and custom-made or personalised orders cannot be returned for change-of-mind reasons.

19. What Happens if My Bed Arrives Damaged?

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your bed arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, photos of the item, photos of the packaging, and a short description of the issue.

We will review the case individually and offer the most suitable solution, which may include replacement parts, a partial refund, a full return, or a full refund.

20. Do You Offer Any Warranties on Your Furniture?

Yes, we offer a 2-year warranty on our Montessori furniture for defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

If you notice a warranty-related issue, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and a short description of the problem. Photos are also helpful when available.

Yes, we do. We ship our Montessori beds to Ireland, Cyprus, and Malta.
